JAX- 1 YEAR OLD AMERICAN BULLY

"Even if this is the first time you're kicking around the idea of joining a program or thinking maybe you can do it alone, you NEED Shelby and Mark. They helped me learn to safely control and maintain structure for my dog, Jax, in real world settings. Allow me to explain my passion for this program.

I opted for the 6 week obedience program and it is worth its weight in gold. When I started the program, Jax could drag me anywhere he wanted to while on the leash. I felt unsafe taking him out in public because he could out muscle me, I felt uneasy because he liked to jump when he got excited and he could have hurt people, I felt judged by other people when Jax wouldn't listen to commands, I felt like I wasn't letting him enjoy the outdoors or new places like other dogs, and mostly I felt terrible as a dog mom because I wasn't setting my boy up for success. Jax had no concept of impulse control, he was a sweet teddy bear but he did what he wanted to do and that is it. After 6 sessions, I have a completely new life with my dog and MOST importantly I now have a CLEAR and NON-EMOTIONAL line of communication with my dog that I did not know existed before I met these people.

I LOVED that our sessions were done in real world settings, I had a huge concern that if Jax's training was done in a gym or some other "controlled setting" that as soon as we went to a park or anywhere in public that the stimulation from people, animals, cars, or signs and plastics bags (as I learned) would override what we learned in class. Shelby taught us that ANYWHERE can be a controlled setting and now I can walk Jax and have him lay down and remain CALM in a busy Home Depot or at a campsite.

I can not thank these two people enough for what they have done for our home life and now our new found adventure life. They were patient and clear with the expectations. Their own dog is proof that they practice what they teach. My bond with my dog and Jax's confidence in himself has never been stronger." 

JEAN LUC- 9 MONTH OLD STANDARD POODLE

"Shelby and Mark (and Dozer!) helped my dog tremendously! Within as little as a few weeks we saw a total makeover not just in his behavior but in who he is as a dog. My dog had issues with other dogs due to negative encounters with them as a puppy and was a pretty nervous in just about any situation, over the period of a few weeks my pup was able to overcome his extreme fear of dogs and antsyness in public spaces and gain confidence in things I never thought he'd be comfortable with.

"I decided to get my dog trained within a couple of weeks of rescuing him. I knew I wanted him to have manners and a be able to communicate well together. There were many days within those first couple of weeks where I thought maybe this won’t work. Maybe I should have known more about training at home, etc. but really, We just needed Shelby‘s training! She asked what areas I felt were most important and we corrected them and so much more!

I am beyond proud of how well my dog adapted to being trained! Shelby was amazing to work with! She was patient and friendly with my dog and I. She is so knowledgeable and has been available for all my questions throughout the training process. My dog, Tux, had 6 sessions and after the first session I had already noticed a HUGE difference in his behavior! He was still just as loving and playful but WAY less all over the place like a wild 1yr old pup!

Every time I take him out in public or around friends and family, they compliment his behavior and his manners.

"A trained dog is a calm dog. I truly believe that. Previously I thought I had to exercise and run my dogs for them to be calm and obedient. Little did I know they just needed to be focused, attentive and calm!

We completed Kobe’s training and I see a huge difference in his behavior and reactions!

I can truly say that he is off leash reliable and Loves going on our long leash less walks!! He has the freedom to explore but always checks in to make sure he is ‘with the pack’

We didn’t think he was trainable because he was so goofy and all over the place, but with a toddler and another baby on the way, we needed to try. Initially, I had lots of questions about balanced training and all the scary things you read on the internet about same. This is for anyone who is on the fence and who feels that positive reinforcement just isn't doing the trick: trust Pack321. Balanced training is not scary! Their balanced training style and guidance is an absolute game-changer for the better. Shelby and Mark take their time to explain, the sessions never feel rushed, and they make it their goal that you are able to use the training tools to effectively communicate with your dog. Outside of sessions, Shelby is quick to respond to texts and checks in to make sure training on your own during the week is going well. The relationship we have with our dog, Sophie, has blossomed into something wonderful - we no longer need to worry about her jumping up on anyone, attacking our ankles, whining in her crate, reacting to other dogs, pulling our arms out of our sockets on walks, licking people obsessively, or even the occasional nip. After realizing my boy wasn't going to grow out of his puppy stage (seeing as how he is almost 5 lol) I decided it was time to get some professional help. My guy loved to jump and bark at people. He was super reactive to people, balls and other animals. He had such a great heart but was uncontrollable with all of his personality. He loved everyone and everything a little too much! "We were led to Pack 321 after witnessing an owner and a very well behaved GSP walk down the street. When observing from a short distance I had to stop and ask - how old is your GSP and how did you get her to do that? He referred me to Pack 321. We had a 5 month old GSP named Koda that needed some structure; on leash walks, in home manners with a goal of off leash and great recall. From the minute we established contact with Pack 321 the communication exchange was immediate and professional. We were told what to expect and how to be prepared for the first and subsequent training sessions. After the first session at our home, it was as if we magically had a new dog. Walks immediately changed from being pulled around by a 50lb train to a controlled and enjoyable experience where we were in control of a responsive and respectful pup. Shelby was flexible with the scheduling of subsequent sessions which were held at our home, park and a final at Lowe’s. The final at Lowe’s was amazing and Koda simply shined.
